The Association consists of so-called animators – married couples, priests and people in consecrated life. A local body of animators forms a Diocesan Centre, which is the basic unit of the Association’s structure. The centres operate with the knowledge and consent of respective diocesan bishops.
Diocesan Centres form a National (Country) Centre, and National Centres form the Association. Managing Boards of National Centres cooperate with Church structures in their countries, and the Association’s Managing Board cooperates with the Vatican Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life. The Association’s Leaders are subject to the Dicastery’s Prefect.
The Association’s structures work in accordance with its Statute approved by the Holy See.
